The product

A Kotlin Multiplatform marketplace connecting customers with construction-material merchants through two dedicated apps: Bismar and Bismar Seller. The customer app covers discovery and orders, while the seller app handles the merchant side; both share business logic across Android and iOS through Clean Architecture.

Key decisions

Problem, decision, trade-off, result.

  1. Problem

A construction-materials marketplace needed two products — a customer app and a seller app — on both Android and iOS.

  2. Decision

Kotlin Multiplatform with Clean Architecture, sharing business logic across both platforms and both apps instead of maintaining four native codebases.

  3. Trade-off

Shared logic keeps behavior consistent, but the architecture boundaries have to stay strict so platform details and app-specific flows don't leak into the shared core.

  4. Result

Customer and seller apps are live on the App Store and Google Play.
